Worldpay is offered through FIS, which recently launched Premium Payback at Walgreens allowing customers to use their rewards in real-time. FIS is a global business platform that makes it easier and more convenient for businesses to make financial transactions. Premium Payback is a part of this mission to streamline the transaction process at the register.
The program that began in October has allowed customers to use their credit card rewards points to pay for in-store purchases. At the register, customers are given the option to pay with their card at the point-of-sale. The terminal is then prompted to ask the customer whether they want to apply for credits per $10-transaction based on the points they have available.
Reward points are always a perk of shopping at a favorite store, but research shows that it is a major decision in determining where a person shops. The Premium Payback program will provide customers with a new level of convenience in redeeming reward points, hopefully securing their loyalty.
